Why choose positive reinforcement?
Positive reinforcement dog training uses science-based methods to get to the root cause of a dog's behavior. There are many benefits to positive reinforcement training such as building a better bond between the human and dog along with communicating with the dog in the way they learn and understand.
Each training is unique to the client. Because training is full of problem-solving and changes for the client; I offer packages that support the client through the process.
Training offered but not limited to: behavior modification (examples: barking and lunging on leash, jumping on guests), resource guarding, separation anxiety, basic cues (examples: sit, down, stay), and puppy training (examples: basic cues, crate training).

I 100% recommend Naomi as a trainer. She really works on making YOU the best dog trainer for your dog & has a respectable understanding of how dogs work. My dog Chula (5 months old today!) was very anxious, timid & jumpy. She had a huge fear of her leash & would even be scared of my own mother. As soon as me & Naomi got to work i started seeing an improvement. She is still a cautious pup but I know now how to handle her in those situations. Along with teaching my pup to be comfortable in new settings with new people. The biggest triumph however is the leash training. I started this with zero hope I'd ever be able to take her on walks & envious of all the other happy dogs on their leashes. Now Chula is one of those dogs & I couldn’t be happier. she wags her tail as we walk around my block & it’s all thanks to everything Naomi taught me.

Working with Naomi has been an absolute blessing! When I reached out to her I really had no idea what to do, and wasn’t even able to have my dog living with me due to things getting so bad. Immediately after working with her my dogs extreme anxiety has turned around (still improving) and I have learned so much. Naomi has been a lifesaver for me! About 5 months ago I adopted a 4 year old mixed breed dog with very little training, strong leash pulling, and dog reactivity issues. I went to 2 other trainers before Naomi who trained using aversive techniques. In each case, it seemed promising at first but I quickly became tired of punishing my dog constantly and also noticed no improvements. Her dog reactivity just seemed to be getting worse.
When I started working with Naomi, I learned this is common with aversives because the pain the dog is feeling often exacerbates the reactivity. Naomi helped me learn to read my dog's body language and lower her stress levels in general.
Naomi has been extremely supportive and responsive. She has answered all my questions thoroughly and sent me tons of resources on everything from puzzle feeders to keep my high energy dog occupied to training videos to recipes for home made treats.
Her rates are much more affordable than the other trainers I went to which I thoroughly appreciate.
After working with Naomi for a few weeks, I started noticing some great improvements in my dog's engagement with me and general levels of stress and anxiety.
I'm looking forward to implementing more of what I have been learning from Naomi.
